Sam studied mechanical engineering at the University of Toronto with minors in bioengineering and environmental engineering. He is co-supervised with Amy Bilton, aiming to develop a CRISPR-based sensor to detect bacterial contamination in drinking water. Outside of school, he enjoys food, games, wrestling, and lifting.
