Purushoth completed his studies in chemical engineering at the University of Toronto where he developed an interest in considering systems, human factors and how technologies can play a role in it. In the Weckman Lab, Purushoth looks to quantitatively detect neutrophils in blood samples using CRISPR-based methods for patients at rish of febrile neutropenia. Outside of school, he enjoys Lego, photography, walking on trails, and strategy games.
