Filip graduated with a BASc in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2025. For his fourth-year capstone project, Filip developed a PDMS reinforced nanocellulose aerogel fiber for thermal insulation applications. His project at the Weckman lab will focus on combining MEMS devices and CRISPR-responsive materials for diagnostic applications. Outside of the lab, he enjoys sports, travelling, and games.
