BASc Nanotechnology Engineering, University of Waterloo 2025

Ana is from Kitchener, ON and graduated with a BASc in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 2025. During her undergraduate studies, she specialized in Nanobiosystems and completed her capstone project on developing a low-cost, portable device that integrates real-time reaction monitoring with dynamic light scattering (DLS) through microfluidic technology. Building on her experiences, her work at the Weckman lab focuses on developing a synthetic nanopore-based biosensor for point-of-care diagnostics. Outside of the lab, she enjoys travelling, hiking, and reading.
